Yes, I was a Twilight fan but let's be honest! The books only got a bad reputation because of the movies. The movies were okay for me but the books were amazing. And I was so sad when Stephanie Meyer announced that Midnight Sun was on hold indefinitely back then. Of course, I got to read the leaked chapters and I really felt incomplete without knowing the rest. Luckily in 2020, she did release it!! Hallelujah! It actually got released the day after my papa died so instead of dealing with those emotions, I read this book in 3 days.

Stephanie Meyer really shook the game when she wrote the Twilight series. She originally considered going to law school because she didn't think she would have a chance to be a writer. Her inspiration for the Twilight book came from a dream.

Spoilers ahead! Midnight Sun is just like Twilight but through Edward's eyes. We hear his thoughts about what he thought of Bella, and we know more about his family and how they really think of Bella. And remember we aren't hearing just his thoughts, we hear everybody's thoughts!! Like things I never knew before were how close Edward and Emmett were, Rosalie's jealousy, and Jasper's intense thoughts. Now, earlier I said that I read the book in 3 days which is true, but I also downloaded it on Audible and listened to it as well. Listening to it was such a different experience than reading it for myself. It could be that I was listening with a man's voice instead of my own but I honestly felt the intensity when listening to it. It was also intense reading it but not as much.

On Amazon for the hardcover, it's 14 dollars which isn't a bad deal. I got the ebook version when it came out and I think I spent 20 dollars maybe?

This book was 5 stars hands down for me. I don't care what anyone else says. Goodreads has it at 3.7 but I feel most people just take this book so literally. Some say that Bella is in an abusive relationship and yes the relationship is weird but that's because she is in a relationship with a vampire. That's not normal. And it's fiction. Not saying that relationships should be this way but it's fun to read...
