I got this book from Barnes and Noble. It was part of their Free Book Fridays. And this one was not a disappointment!
Can't find out much about the author but this book is the first in the afterlife adventure series. There are 7 books total, or at least for now, there is. Not sure if more are coming in the future but I can't wait to find out.
Spoilers ahead!! Bridget is dead. But not dead dead. She goes into the afterlife and has troubles at the arrivals station so they send her to work where she finds a dead ghost in her locker. Apparently, the afterlife is not harps, white gowns, and clouds. You have a job, you have to live with other people, attend group meetings, and have a guardian who is basically a parole officer. That is just the shortlist of things of stuff in the afterlife. Since the dead ghost was in her locker, she is the main suspect. She befriends Sabrina who was a PI before she died and they go on an adventure to find the real murderer. Along this path, she meets 2 mediums, an outlaw, and new friends.
This book is hilarious!! I finished over half of the book in one day! It's very hard to put the book down after 1 chapter. It keeps you on edge with twists and turns as the story progresses. I will be honest that I have more questions now than answers.
I give this book 5 stars. I never got bored and the fact I finished it in about a week when it usually takes me almost a month to finish a book because it's hard to read or I lose interest quickly. I only stopped reading when I had to work or actually socialize.
