I cannot remember for the life of me where I found this recipe. I wanna say Pinterest but I feel like it could have been somewhere else.

Chew Out Loud is a wonderful food blog. It's simple and clean and very organized. In the post for this chili, she talks about how perfect it is when it's cold and busy and hectic. For me, it was neither cold nor hectic but it sure was delicious.

My mom and I were huge fans of this. My husband is not used to the concept of butternut squash in chili so it was weird for him but I think he liked it in general. This recipe calls for olive oil, yellow onion, garlic cloves, white sugar, chili powder, cumin, cinnamon, dried oregano, ground coriander, ground turkey, tomato paste, green bell peppers, fire-roasted tomatoes, chicken broth, black beans, butternut squash, kosher salt and black pepper. You could also have shredded cheddar cheese with it. And all of this could be made in 1 large pot or a dutch oven.

This recipe makes a lot but that's good. Freeze what you didn't eat and save it for another time. You know how chili always tastes better after it's been sitting a while. Remember that.

Out of 11 reviews, this is a perfect 5 and let's make it 12 now. I give it a 5 as well. This is the perfect fall chili and I can't wait to make it again.

What do you think about this chili, would you try it?
