I don't actually remember how I came across this series. I can't remember if I saw it in the library or in my suggestions when reading another manga series. It could be either-or.

I don't know much about Kanoko Sakurakoji. Don't know any other books or series she or he has done. I don't even know what he or she looks like. I did a Google search and all I see are books they have written or drew for which I now know more of their work.

This series has 18 volumes. We meet Misao who can see demons and ghosts that other people can't see. She had a friend from her childhood that could see them to but then he moved away but promised he would be back. The day before her sixteenth birthday he shows again saying that he came for his bride, meaning her. She is the Senka Maiden which means if a demon drinks her blood he will have a long life. If he eats her he will have eternal youth. If he beds her his clan will prosper.

Through the books we have Misao figuring out if Kyo, her childhood friend, is truly in love with her or just wants his clan to prosper. Then we deal with Sho, Kyo's brother, who was supposed to be the leader of the clan who is up to no good. Then we have to find the Senka Roku because it has Misao's fate written in it. This series is very crazy but I love the flow of it. Definitely meant for teenagers or young adults but I enjoy it. Beware, there is sex.

When purchasing the series, it was about 7 dollars per book. But I got all of this over a period of time. So no I did not spend over a hundred dollars in 1 day getting all of these.

Overall I give this series about 3 and a half stars, maybe even 4. When looking up Kanoko, I saw a lot of their work but mostly this series so I think this is the most popular series he or she has done. I just gotta say that I think it's a woman. I don't know many men who write about teenage romances.

Who is Kanoko Sakurakoji?

Man or woman?

What is your favorite series that he or she has written?
