This was our second stop on our Texas road trip and this was a good place to visit. I found our cabin on Airbnb which was a very nice setup. Cozy cabin with nice lighting in the back and some yard games to enjoy. It was also just down the street from Palo Duro Canyon, where my husband wanted to visit.

Palo Duro Canyon was very nice to see. I've never been to a canyon before so it was nice to see this. I was even more pleased we didn't have to walk the entire time. We did have to pay to get in but not sure how much it was, to be honest.

Since we had to drive to Fredericksburg right after this we just wanted to drive around and see the canyon and not do any hiking. While driving around we did see things that you could do there. We saw people horseback riding, lots of hiking trails, a theater area, picnic, and camping areas, and also a tarantula crossing the road.

If you are thinking about visiting, I do think it will be a fun trip. Not much to do in Canyon, Texas but visiting the canyon was nice. It's not rocky like Bid Bend is even though we did not see that first hand, just read reviews about it on a tire shops page. This was very easy but steep and narrow.

I think overall we spent about 40 dollars. can't be certain because I can't remember how much it was to get in but we also got a coffee mug and a cookbook in the gift shop. So don't quote me but think ballpark area.

A lot of people seem to really enjoy this canyon. 4.8 stars on Google and I would have to agree. It's a beautiful area and very convenient. At least for us, it was.

Would you rather visit Big Bend or Palo Duro?

Why did the tarantula cross the road?
