Chase's Place and Cocktails

This is another place I found on Yelp, and let me be honest because I found every restaurant on our Texas road trip on Yelp. This was a place that focused on cocktails with food on the side. I thought that was interesting and some of their drinks sounded yummy so why not right?

So the bar is open from 4-10 while the kitchen is open from 5-9:30 which I find to be odd. But I guess they want to focus more on drinks than food which I guess could be understandable. They have sharable snacks, salads, sandwiches, 3 chef's plates, and 2 desserts. There is a total of 13 food items if that tells you anything. They have lots of options for drinks.

I ordered the Hill Country Sipper which wasn't horrible but not my favorite. My husband got some type of margarita but I can't remember the name of it, our waitress recommended it for him. We both ordered the Chimichurri Street Tacos which were worth it. Loved every bite and which I could have more.

This was the most expensive restaurant we went to, and that's including the fancy restaurant. They are very pricey on drinks. For food, I suppose the price is right. It was just more than what we expected and honestly only the food was good. Drinks were overpriced for the taste of them.

I gave them 4 stars because the food was good but the drinks and service weren't the best. Overall, they have a 4.8-star rating so they must be doing something right or maybe we were just unlucky or too used to our ways I guess.
