Halloween Village

Halloween is officially over so that means I have to put my village away. So sad. I've only had these things for a month. Want to know how I got the idea to build a Halloween village? Well, my husband has always wanted a Christmas Ivillage and said no because I always had to put up with my grandma's and she had a huge one. But then I noticed people were making villages for Halloween so I compromised with him. He can have a Christmas village as long as I get Halloween.

This year I wanted to focus on vampires. I don't know why but why not right? So I went digging through Amazon and eBay and found these pieces.

The first piece I got was the vampire holding his bat kite. My husband actually got that for me as a birthday present. All he does is spin around with his kite. The second piece was the iron gate. The lights come on but that is about it but I love the gate. It's hard to keep it half open because it's heavy but as long as no cat or person touches it, it will be fine. The third piece is the vampire attorney with the coffin wrapped in chains. I thought I broke this honestly because the flashing green light would stay on. But then I realized it's supposed to flash. The fourth piece is the vampire hanging upside down from the tree. And lastly is the Dracula on the motorcycle with the girl.

Overall, all of these pieces put together were a total of between 150 to 200 dollars. Thank goodness my husband didn't kill me but it costs to be cool right? (Who can remember what movie that is from).

What Halloween theme should I add next year?
