I found this place on Yelp and believe me I sort of wished I listened to the reviews I read.
Let me start from the beginning. We walked in and this really didn't give me "diner vibes" but it was a cool place. They had a train track hanging above everybody and there were trains going around and around. I thought that was cool. We get seated and I kid you not, we waited 15 minutes before a server acknowledged us. I was so fed up but wanted to really see if it could get better because honestly, I didn't have a backup plan. We ordered our drinks which mine was good but the server had to walk back to us 3 times to ask my husband about his drink. It was a simple margarita!! But he forgot to ask if he wanted it frozen/on the rocks and also if he wanted sugar/salt on the rim. That was annoying but still moving forward.
For food, I ordered the Wrong Way Chicken and my husband got the Philly Steak Sandwich. My chicken was amazing. Cooked to perfection. Bacon was a little much but I wouldn't have changed it. My sides however were disgusting. Masked potatoes had no flavor, just tasted like gravy. And do not get me started on the corn. Do you see the picture above? What does that look like in my corn? It's a dang french fry!! Nobody bothered to take it out!! Ugh!!! I didn't even bother eating those. My husband's sandwich wasn't the best but he also said it could have been worse so a little plus.
We decided to get dessert and ordered the Chocolate Layer Cake. Honestly, nothing spectacular about it. Just cake and ice cream but it was good to have to fill our stomachs.
Since we both got drinks, both a meal, and then shared dessert, it wasn't the best check especially for what we got. Honestly, I don't like bad-mouthing anybody but I thought it was ridiculous. Unless they are meant to be this way. That sort of makes sense since it's called the wrong way diner. If so, then I think they need to make it a bit more obvious that they suck at customer service on purpose. If not, oops...
What restaurant have you been to that was a bad experience for you?
